Last Night of Camp

Last Night of Camp

These are the students and their stories from this week of camp. An incredible thing happened this week and these students are sharing in their own words what Jesus has done in their life this week.

He made me a real christian.

--zack meuth

He helped me understand the true way to be a christian. You may call yourself a christian, but showing it is the real goal

--Jordan Donithan

what i found out was i wasn't a christian.but now i am and i proud of every one that came.

--April Glassco

It took until the last night of worship to to finally let God regain control of my life again. Up until this week i wasnt living for God, i was living for myself and wordly things. He has showed me that things that i thought were important in my life doen't meassure up to Him, he needs to be the center of my life and not just someone that is a convient friend.

--Amber Pendergraft

God made me realize this week that there are things that he has been asking me to give up and I have stubbornly told him no about it for a long time. But the last night of camp I came to terms with the fact that I have to give these things up and give God control of more of my life. Also, I finally obeyed God and commited to sponsor a child with Compassion International.

--Kathryn Hart

This week started off just like every trip i take with church, we got here and i was going to just try to strive to be an awesome christian and then i was going to try to change back home with my consistently nonpeaceful home...but something changed and now i actually mean it, i feel like i need to be right where i am but being here..away from everything for awhile, helped me realize that saying something and putting it into action are two totally different things.

--Brianna Stone

This has been an incredible week of revelations for many on this trip, myself included. I have been blessed to get to know our youth group. I feel God calling me to do something more, possibly in the mission field. I will continue to pray and wait on HIM to reveal more of HIS plan for me.

Recreation, Friday.

Our group won the spirit stick today...and Slaton gets to carry it!

We are on the last full day of camp. God is working in all of us, and some have even.shared with us how He is working. For some of us God spoke through a song. For some it was during a message. Some a testimony. Some during quiet time. Some even when in our rooms. God has not kept Himself to being heard in only the "normal" ways, and its been great to watch. We look forward to being home Sunday night, but we are also excited to see what God still has in store for our last couple of days away.

Worship

Water day in recreation.

Water day in recreation.

Water day in recreation.

It's Wednesday morning. We've just finished breakfast and the kids are doing their quiet time for this morning. Hopefully these chances for quiet times will encourage them to continue spending time with Jesus this same way when they get home.
We had a good night last night. Todd Agnew led worship and Ed Newton spoke on 1 John. We will have gone through the whole book of 1 John by the end of the week.
After our morning worship, we have recreation time, so I will try to post some pictures from that.
